trip to Chiangmai in December (Day1)

Pictures are late as usual
I took these on my trip to chiangmai
on the first day we arrived we went to the doi kham festival
Them to the royal winter palace, up the mountains to a mountain village
then to a night market after dinner
It was a long long day

You can't see the whole thing...It looks like a christmas tree

We were really high up in the mountains and it was COLD!!!
Me tired of climbing on the rock...
That serpent is one of my favourite thai legendary creature
The Bhudda that symbolizes Sat (my birthday) is protected by it
This is the famous Wat phra that doi suthep
A lot of thais have been here!!!

This is the most important building of the temple its made outa gold!!!
Its really beautiful in the morning as they say
my pic looked crapy (took by Pat, HA!) so I put the one I took up instead
(duh pat's in, it I took it...mum doesn't know how to use a digi cam)

Heheh...I prayed to this buddha and had my fortune told from those stick things
It was the last number and it was the best...hope luck really is coming my way!!!
Look~!!!...NO...further down we climbed all the way up...man it was tiring

We went to a temple which had won a clean toilet contest (In thailand) haha...wasn't interested so I didn't go see "the beautiful bathroom"...They do have a beautiful lamp though.... We went to see the night market along the walking street called "Ratchadumnoen"
Its the same name as one of the streets in BKK...wonder how that works
